Listener Numbers

When we started Astroquarian back in September, we didn’t really think that many people would listen, given the number of music podcasts out there. We did it for fun, and if anyone else listened to us, then we’d count ourselves lucky!

So a big thanks to the 1,182 1,198 of you who have downloaded Astroquarian in December 2006 alone. Happy New Year!

From a cold wintry place in South West England comes Astroquarian 7, recorded in front of a roaring fire on the eve of the Winter Solstice 2006. We bring chilled electronica, sound collage, and a song in Kernewek, the Cornish language, set to dub.

Still No Internet!

We haven’t forgotten Astroquarian! We’re still without fast internet access, which makes downloading tracks a little on the awkward side… As soon as the nice people at Demon Internet wave their magic little wands to give us some ADSL goodness, we’ll be able to get a new show out.

Before Xmas, we hope!

Moving Studios
We’re relocating our ’studio’ (read: moving house) this week. The next Astroquarian will be a little delayed as we set everything back up, and convince our internet service provider to actually provide us with some internet access. Service should resume as normal (i.e. about bi-weekly) in a few weeks time.

More music choice
We’ve been getting all of our music so far from either the very fine Podsafe Music Network, or it’s given directly to us to play (please do send us music if you think it’d fit the show).

At PodcastConUK we came across another player in the field - a record label that actually encourages podcasters to play their music. We have just been given permission by Magnatune to play music from their catalogue, and we will also be playing a few tracks from the Cornish label Top of the Hill which will delight and amaze you..

Until the next show…
